Listening to Nature

I came across an article the other day about megaphones for mother nature. Somewhere in the forrest in Estonia there are giant funnels that are open to the public.

This reminded me of something similar. Apparently a man wants to record every sound on earth to show the ‘soundscapes’ of life on earth.

  1. First of all, the creators project is an OUTSTANDING website and should be required daily reading for all humans. Props to you for posting an article from TCP. Second of all, I’ve been hearing more and more about the incredible nature in the Baltics (Latvia, Lithuania, & Estonia). When I went to the 2015 EXPO in Milan, I spent a while in Estonia’s pavilion because of how many breathtaking pictures and videos they had of their forests. I also got the strong sense that the way the citizens of those countries interact with nature is more intimate than many other cultures. One of the best electronic music festivals in the world takes place in the middle of a forest in Lithuania; the only way to get there is a train followed by a 45 minute hike. Moral of the story: lets go to Estonia.
