Rufffff Cut

Here is my rough cut. I am thinking about adding a intro title card and some music to it. I was wondering if gradually introducing the music in the beginning would be a good idea? I’m also wondering if I cut the interview too short. I have more footage and could expand it, but thought it would be better if it was shorter. I can also add more b-roll if that is needed. I’m really open for any suggestions.

  1. I really loved the opening clips. It was a peaceful opening to a somewhat not peaceful topic. I also appreciated how you were able to get B-Roll of the billboard that portrays Food Waste. I definitely think you can cut this down and find a better focus with the interviewer. It also might be possible to get more B-Roll as well.

  2. I really like your B-roll shots and your placement of the interview subject in the frame. The B-roll matches the interview very well. I do have a few suggestions as you proceed to your final cut; if you are able to edit sound at all, there is a bit of a fuzzy noise over the video. I think this sound makes the beginning B-roll shots, without the interviewer speaking, a little less pleasant. In addition, I think you can possibly start the interview part sooner and space it out more evenly throughout the video.

  3. I enjoyed the sounds of nature in the beginning. It adds an organic feel to this interview. I wish you had interviewed him outdoors but overall it looks good. The B-roll throughout the interview works very well but you should adjust the audio levels, especially towards the end of the piece.
