  1. Hey Margie!
Overall, I thought this was well done. I really liked the topic and how much music means to him and how him mom passed down the idea of great 70’s music onto her son. I really liked the b-roll in this and how Bobby showed you how he records his music. There were some really nice shots including the opening of him playing guitar.
For some reason I feel like the audio is off when Bobby plays guitar. It almost sounds muffled for some reason. I’m wondering if you mic’ed Bobby/the guitar playing or if its just the sound from the camera? Or if you can fix that on Final Cut? I also feel like when you interviewed him there was a ton of head room and he was kind of this small part of the frame crunched in the corner. The images on his wall are really cool, but I feel like the frame could be lowered a little bit. Also, your title frame appears and disappears really quickly, so if you’re going to keep it there, I would make it stay on the screen for longer. You did a really great job and I’m excited to see the final product!

  2. I love this interview – the topic is great and I think you have a well developed story from your b-roll and edits made within the video.
Your placement of b-roll gave a good amount of space and breath needed as a viewer and audience watching it. I loved how you incorporated two viewpoints in your interview, a close up and a medium length shot.
However, I do think that your medium shot of the subject had too much headroom space. This made it a little bit distracting because there was a lot going on, on his wall which made my eyes wander a bit when watching him speak.
Also, while the b-roll was good footage, there were some bad audio – from the music – which could take the video up a notch if recorded better. It sounds like it was recorded directly into the camera with no attachments or mics, but a shotgun mic would probably pick the sound of good, try not to stand too far away or too close.
Other than that, this video is solid! Good job.
