I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Government and Law and the Asian Studies Program at Lafayette College. My research and teaching interests include international relations theory, global governance, security studies, nuclear proliferation, energy politics, environmental politics, Chinese foreign policy, and East Asian politics. I received my Ph.D. in government from Cornell University.

I am also an Associate Editor of H-Diplo/Robert Jervis International Security Studies Forum (RJISSF). I have held research fellowships and visiting positions at the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies and the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, Harvard University; the Department of Political Science, Stanford University; the Institute of Social Sciences, the University of Tokyo; the Center for International Studies, Yonsei University, Seoul; the Academy of Korean Studies; and the Center for the Study of the Presidency, Washington, D.C.
