Auditions are held at the beginning of each semester following Lafayette’s Student Involvement Fair
- We offer two types of auditions – singing auditions and vocal percussion auditions.
- We will test each woman’s range (up and down), her sight-singing ability, and her sing-back ability. We will also give her the opportunity to try vocal percussion.
- Vocal auditionees should come prepared with a 1-2 minute solo to sing for the group.
- All auditionees will only be considered if they are able to rehearse on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15 – 6 pm every week of the school year.
- Vocal Percussion auditionees will only be expected to demonstrate vocal percussion, not singing ability.
- Any and all women, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming students who are interested and able to make the commitment should audition (even if one has auditioned in the past).
- We encourage auditionees to arrive promptly at the start of auditions. This will give us time to fairly evaluate each auditionee’s performance.
- The president(s) will contact each auditionee once a consensus regarding auditions has been reached.
