I am currently an Assistant Professor of Economics at Lafayette College, where I teach Health Economics, Econometrics and Microeconomics. My research focuses on medical care use and expenditures in the US. Specific areas of research include the medical care costs of obesity, Surprise medical bills and the federal No Surprises Act, the relationship between physician payments and the use of medical care, racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare use, and instrumental variables. Previously, I was employed as an economist at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality in the US Department of Health and Human Services. I received my PhD in Economics from Lehigh University in 2015.
