Geotechnical

Based on our exploration and field work, the major subsurface condition affecting the project site is the presence of the Allentown Formation, a limestone and dolomite bedrock characterized by karst topography and sinkhole activity. Due to this geological condition as well as the potential of flooding, micropile foundations were designed for both the SPOT Landing structure and for the piers along the inclined elevator track. Spread footings as well as a cantilever retaining wall were designed for the proposed Marquis Landing structure.
