Woo Group’s first publication has been released in ACS Earth and Space Chemistry. Based on the EXCEL and Honors Thesis work of Thomas Beier ’19, we present changes to solution surface tension properties in aqueous aerosol mimics when exposed to UV radiation. Thanks to Emily Cotter ’21 for her work in the development of this project!

Today, our research student Nahin Ferdousi ’19 received an Honorable Mention at the Freed Undergraduate Research Symposium at Lehigh University, based on her EXCEL and Independent Research work on 3D printer UFP emissions. Congratulations, Nahin!
Members from Woo Group, Soh Group (Lafayette Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering), and Kney Group (Lafayete Civil & Environmental Engineering) held an outreach event with sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-graders from Easton Area Middle School. Students and faculty led demonstrations and discussions focusing on energy, air, and water in the environment.
