I am associate professor of anthropology at Lafayette College, where I have taught since 1999. I received a B.A. in Earth Sciences from Wesleyan University, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Arizona (1998), where I majored in cultural anthropology and minored in history.

My teaching and research interests concern the politics of the past in the present, and race, ethnicity and dominance in colonial societies. Please click on the navigational links to learn more.
