Robotics Projects

Senior Design Project:

For our senior design project, we decided to design, prototype, build, and compete a 30-pound combat robot.

I was the Electronics/Coding and Website Manager for this project

Closed Loop Controls Projects Using Pololu Zumo 32U4

In Controls and Mechatronics, I learned to program PID closed loop logic controllers in Arduino (C/C++) and design and validate them in MATLAB.

Three main project involving physical systems modeling, line following, object avoidance, angle and velocity modifications, finite state machine design, and PID logic control design and validation.

Small Electrical Car Design Project:

In Manufacturing and Design I learned how to use the 3D printer, machine shop, and Arduino to design and construct an electronic car to go on a race course and on a line-following mission.

The car had a gear ratio shift to allow for high torque on a ramp, and high rpm on a straightaway. The car also had a breaking system to stop at the correct moment.

Electronic Plane Design Project:

In this project, I worked with a team of 3 to design and create a lightweight plane to fly using a propellor motor, battery, and ailerons: programmed with Arduino. It crashed, but it did not burn!

Arduino LED Project:

This was the first instance I learned how to create a board in KeyCAD, solder parts, and code Arduino to make them flash

FIRST Robotics Team 236 Techno Ticks:

This is where it all started for me: FIRST Robotics. I joined my senior year of high school to learn about engineering and what it means to be an engineer. I decided after learning about what it was like to work with a team towards a common goal with effective communication and teamwork, that this is what I wanted to become.
