LIME logo design

One day, the team in Lafayette Initiative for Malagasy Education wanted to have a logo to represent the club. So, they called the students to make one. Many students participated. So did I. As a reminder, LIME is a peer to peer program between Lafayette College and the Andohalo high school in Madagascar. The way, I designed my logo was based on that definition. When I tried to draw it, I imagined that it would be great if I include something that represents the two countries in the logo. Something like a flag for example. It should also show that it is about education. So, I came up with the graduation hat. In addition, Madagascar is known for its lemurs and the ravenala so I also included them in my drawing. In the end, I came up with the following.

It does not even look good! However, I asked a lot of friends about the feedback and the amelioration that I can do. They gave me some ideas about the colors, shape, etc… Their ideas were very helpful in my final design. I drew the logo in photoshop with the help of a friend. At, the end, we came up with the logo below

A vote was made between the suggested logos. Mine received the majority of the vote. That is why my work became the official logo of the program. However, it did not yet end because the club wanted to have it decorate the LIME room. Therefore, I took the challenge to reproduce it on the room by using stickers. Everything I did was hand made. In the end, the result looks like the following photos.

Drawing has always been one of my passion. I developed it when there was a moment in my childhood where I did not have any friends to play with. Therefore, I was immersed in the world of drawing. I love to draw things. When I do it, I try to think about every combination that I can make whether colors or shape. I think drawing is one way to learn how to think and how to see things. We do not need to be a professional to do it.

In the future, I am planning to design a 3D model of it. I would like to 3D print it for home decoration. This is a prototype of what I am working on now.
