In the College Writing Program, trained student reviewers known as Writing Associates, or WAs, help their peers to write effectively. Each semester, 50 to 60 Writing Associates work with about 750 students across all academic disciplines.

Patricia A. Donahue, Department of English, 1985-present and former Director of the College Writing Program

 

Ross Gay, Class of 1996, was an English and honors art graduate, the George Wharton Pepper Prize winner, and a defensive end on Lafayette’s 1994 Patriot League championship team. He now teaches at Indiana University, Bloomington, and in the MFA in poetry program at Drew University. He is the author of Against Which (2006) and Bringing the Shovel Down (2011).
