Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor in the Government and Law Department at Lafayette College in Easton, PA. I received my Ph.D. in May 2013 from Duke University and a B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2007.
I study and teach courses on American and Race and Ethnic politics. Some of my specific interests include racial politics in the U.S., the evolution of congressional institutions, Latino political representation, Latino immigration, and the effects of geography on political attitudes and participation rates.
Currently, I am working on a book manuscript entitled “The Political Representation of Non-Citizen Latinos: An Analysis of Legislative Motivations.” In addition, I am engaged in additional projects involving non-citizen political participation and political information flow within different geographic contexts.
