A small number of travel fellowships are available through the Oomycete Molecular Genetics Network. Deadlines, application requirements, and other important information can be found here.
Through funding from the US National Science Foundation, 16 travel awards are available for attendees employed in the United States. All awards will provide up to $US 950 for travel, food and accommodation. Dependent on additional sponsorship, a very limited number of travel awards may be available for attendees from countries without established research funding infrastructures. In addition, the registration fee will be waived.
How to apply:
Send your one page CV and a one-page justification for how the fellowship will benefit your research to Brett Tyler (bmtyler@vt.edu) by December 16, 2010. If you plan to submit an abstract for a poster or talk, please send a copy with your application. We will let you know if your application has been successful before the registration deadline January 31, 2010. Applications received after the deadline will be considered only if there are funds remaining.
