We left the Black Hills of SD at 715am for the 8 hour drive to Cody WY. That will get us within 2 hours of Yellowstone, where we head tomorrow. Lucy spent the first 90 minutes on the road sleeping on the bed in the back. I may do that after lunch, naps are a necessity on this trip. We stopped to gas up and pick up supplies and are now back on the road.

Tonight we hope to get to a rodeo snd then it’s three nights at bare bones campsites. Anyone taking bets if I can handle it?

Forgot to mention my favorite local South Dakota merchant…Red Rhubarb Ass Wine. Wish I had been able to bring back some bottles for my wine experts back home.
