Rationale
- The “Illuminate Surroundings” functional requirement dictates the minimum area of illumination that will be produced. It is imperative that our solution adequately lights its immediate surroundings in order to be visible to the potential user so they are able to locate and utilize the solution. Furthermore, by lighting the immediate area our solution will combat the issue of lack of light as a safety concern.
- The “Bring Attention to User” functional requirement demands a minimum level of effectiveness in capturing the attention of people within a certain vicinity in case of an emergency situation. We want to ensure that in an emergency situation, people in the user’s vicinity are aware of the issue at hand and are able to help.
