Dr. H. Daniel Ou-Yang

Daniel Ou-Yang is a Professor of Physics and Bioengineering and Director of the Emulsion Polymers Institute of Lehigh University. He received B.S. and M.S. in Physics from Fu-Jen Catholic University in Taiwan and Ph.D. in Physics from UCLA. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Physics Department, University of Pennsylvania and the Exxon Corporate Research Laboratory before he joined the Physics Department of Lehigh University. His research interests include colloids, soft matter and biological physics.

Dr. Ou-Yang gave a presentation to the Lafayette College community on 9 September 2014, hosted by the Interdisciplinary Seminars in Life Sciences class. His topic was the “Intracellular Mechanical Properties of Living Eukaryotic Cells.”
