De. Meagan Mauter visited Lafayette on November 4th, 2011.
Meagan S. Mauter works on the applications and implications of nanomaterials in environmental systems. After completing undergraduate degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering and History at Rice University, Meagan joined the laboratories of Menachem Elimelech and Chinedum Osuji in the department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at Yale University. During her doctoral studies, Meagan was a recipient of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, the EPA Science to Achieve Results Fellowship, and the AWWA Abel Wolman Fellowship. Meagan completed her PhD in June, 2011 and is now serving as a post-doctoral fellow at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government where she is performing research on integrated utility systems for water and energy production.
