Ferry ride our to Vestmannaeyjar (the Westman Islands) today to observe the effects of the 1973 Eldfell eruption on the town of Heimaey. Visited the flow fron that almost closed the harbor, the brand new and wonderfully presented eruption museum, climbed Eldfell and then finished with a trip to the southern end of the island to speculate on the future location of rifting in Iceland.
