I am the John D. and Frances H. Larkin Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry at Lafayette College, where I have been a member of the faculty since 1986.   I teach courses in biochemistry and introductory chemistry for non-science majors.   My research interests focus on the process of photosynthesis, specifically the role and properties of the enzyme carbonic anhydrase that is involved in inorganic acquisition in unicellular, eukaryotic photosynthetic organisms.
