Overall I enjoyed this presentation. The discussion of the techno-utopian society was very interesting and I found that it helped to increase my knowledge on the topic. However, my only critique is that I found the title of the presentation- George Jetson and the Promise of Less Work- slightly misleading. While George Jetson was touched on, the majority of the presentation was much broader and focused much more on both men and women than the title would suggest. Many topics were covered quickly in the slidecast and I personally believe a more informative title would be helpful. Other than that, the overall presentation was very interesting and I liked how unions were discussed. I never put unionization and a shorter work week together, but I liked the way they played off each other.

Your presentation was extremely informative. You clearly did a great job researching your topic and did an excellent job of conveying your message. I really enjoyed the topic of your presentation. My only concern is with the title, you only hinted at George Jetson in the beginning. Your topic was more on the history and expectations of a work week than on George Jetson. Other than that everything about your presentation kept me hooked listening to it from start to finish. I had no idea that people believed that with increased free time suicide rates would increase. It was also interesting how you discussed unions in the discussion of shorter work weeks. I always forget the impact unions had in changing the standard for work. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed listening to and watching your slidecast. I’m glad I got assigned it for this homework assignment because it was very well done and unbelievably informative.
