Lafayette to Newark, then 11+ hours non-stop to Honolulu followed by Hawaiian Air to Hilo…a very long travel day made longer by Continentals failure to check bags through to Hilo. This necessitated claiming bags in Honolulu, running (literally) to the Hawaiian Air terminal and getting to check-in 5 minutes before they closed the flight. Thanks for the efforts of the group however we made the flight got the vans are are now in the Hotel – exhausted, but we are in Hawaii.
