What is our Summer 2025 Project?

This past summer, researchers created:

  • A dataset documenting major challenges that health clinics faced, organized by severity, frequency, type, and government responses.
  • A descriptive policy report summarizing:
    • The major challenges in Tanzanian health clinics,
    • Its effects,
    • Root causes, and
    • Success rates and quality of government responses.
  • Two intervention proposals to respond to the challenges in Tanzanian health clinics.

Research Questions

  • Q1: What kinds of problems do citizens face at their local health clinics?
  • Q2: Why do these issues persist?
  • Q3: What types of interventions, whether community-based, institutional, or technological, could improve outcomes?
