你好!Hello! I’m a student of class 2028 from Shanghai, China. My intended major is theater and thinking about doubling in economics. I’m working for Dr. Kang of the EAP Center on the Global Expressions Podcast. Doing video editing. I am a big fan of musicals, basketball, and floorball, as well as singing and photographing! I am also involved in Marquis Players. You can always find me somewhere in the theater or probably any activity on campus. Please stay tuned on our channel!

 

 

Fiorella Garcia 27′

¡Hola! Hello! My name is Fiorella Garcia, and I’m an international student from Paraguay. I’m currently studying economics and conducting research on economic development in Moldova. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing guitar, hanging out with friends, and meeting new people. On campus, I’m involved in ISA (International Students Association), DCF (DiscipleMakers Christian Fellowship), and the Percussion Ensemble.

 

 

Kwame 27′

Hey! My name is Kwame and I’m a domestic student from New Jersey originally born in Ghana, West Africa. I am a neuroscience major on the pre-med track and have an interest in computer science. I am part of the International Students’ Association and President of the Lafayette Data Community. In my free time, I like scrolling through cat memes on Instagram and TikTok, reading, and watching my favorite shows, which include Severance and Abbot Elementary. I’m excited to talk with International Faculty through the Global Expressions Podcast Program!!

 

Angela Lyu 28′

Kia Ora and hello! This is Angela! I was born in China and raised in New Zealand. I am currently a freshman majoring in Psychology and Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. In my spare time I am also a singer, mainly opera and acapella. I am part of the Soulfege acapella group on campus, as well as the Asian Cultural Association. Can’t wait to share more about the Global Expressions with everyone.

Salut tout le monde! My name is Genevieve, and I am from Nigeria (but currently living in the United Kingdom). I am a member of the class of 2028, currently studying Biochemistry with a minor in Music. I love talking about food, music, science, my culture, and learning French. In my free time, you can either catch me playing piano and/or violin at South College Hall or chilling at Skillman. I can’t wait to meet you all through the Global Expression Podcast Program!!

Rown, an ECE major freshman from Henan, China, you could see my hometown province, China, as the Kansas state, and America, which are both located in the middle of nowhere. I like fishing, hiking, aviation, and F1. One interesting thing about me is I hate mushrooms.

Hello! My name is Zetong Li and I am from Shanghai, China. I am in the  class of 2028 and my major is economics and computer science. I love sports very much such as basketball and badminton. Hello, my name is Louise Bloji and I’m an international student from West Africa, Liberia. I’m a member of the class of 2028, and I’m currently majoring in Computer Science, but have recently developed a very strong interest in Psychology. I’m a member of the International student association and also a member of the Lafayette women in computing club(WinC). I love to crochet a lot in my free time while listening to music or watching a movie. I’m excited to be a member of the Global Expression Podcast Program; can’t wait to hear exciting stories from our International Faculty here at Lafayette.

Fahendrena Ramiandrasoa 27′

Hi! Salama aby ! My name is Fahendrena and I am from Madagascar (not the movie and no, we do not have penguins there). I am a Sophomore and Integrative Engineering major, with a focus on Robotics. My main interests are dance and music. That makes a lot of sense then that I got involved in Salsa and Bachata Club, as well as I am a board member of LIMS (Lafayette Interdisciplinary Music Society). The Global Expression Podcast Program is an amazing initiative to help understand international people’s experience. I am thrilled to be part of this exciting journey!

Hi I am Eve from Class of 2028, I am from China. Currently I am a psychology and religious studies double major. I am interested in being a counselor in the future and I think I am a really good listener. I am somehow really into animals that I raised two cats and one dog. Dr. Tingting Kang

Dr. Tingting Kang is the Director of the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Center and Facilitator of the International Faculty & Staff Community of Practice at Lafayette College. Originally from China, she came to the United States in 2009 to pursue an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Murray State University. After earning her Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Northern Arizona University, she joined Lafayette College in 2016.
