你好!Hello! I’m a student of class 2028 from Shanghai, China. My intended major is theater and thinking about doubling in economics. I’m working for Dr. Kang of the EAP Center on the Global Expressions Podcast. Doing video editing. I am a big fan of musicals, basketball, and floorball, as well as singing and photographing! I am also involved in Marquis Players and ISA. You can always find me somewhere in the theater or probably any activity on campus. Please stay tuned on our channel!

¡Hola! Hello! My name is Fiorella Garcia, and I’m an international student from Paraguay. I’m currently studying economics and conducting research on economic development in Moldova. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing guitar, hanging out with friends, and meeting new people. On campus, I’m involved in ISA (International Students Association), DCF (DiscipleMakers Christian Fellowship), and the Percussion Ensemble.

Salut tout le monde! Ndewo ndi oma!! My name is Genevieve, and I am from Nigeria (and currently living in the United Kingdom). I am a member of the class of 2028, currently studying Biochemistry with a minor in Music. I love talking about food, music, science, my culture, and learning French. In my free time, you can either catch me playing piano and/or violin at South College Hall or chilling at Skillman. I can’t wait to meet you all through the Global Expression Podcast Program!!

안녕! 다들 만나서 반가워!! Hi everyone! My name is Wonhee, and I’m from Seoul, Korea.

I’m in the Class of 2029, majoring in physics. I’m especially interested in astrophysics, and I hope to contribute to the field in the future. Outside of academics, I enjoy dancing and taking walks at night while listening to music. At first, I might look a bit sensitive, but once you get to know me, you’ll discover a lighter and warmer side of me:)

Ассалам Алейкум Hi everyone!! My name is Adil, and I am from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. I am in class of 2029 and my major is either Integrative Engineering or Mechanical along with a minor Chinese (I think so). My goal is to create advanced technology for our society along with exploring space ( basically, I wanna go to NASA).  Beyond the academic part, I have been a professional swimmer for 8 years and been to many international competitions.  Also I like boxing, astronomy, chess, editing videos and aviation. You can always find me in Skilman ground floor or in the Kirby sport center.

Chào mọi người! My name is Duc, class of 2029 and I’m from Hanoi, Vietnam. I’m majoring in Biochemistry and possibly getting a minor (looking for recommendations). I’m into a lot of stuff, particularly linguistics, Harry Potter, and all forms of arts. I’m everywhere around campus, but you could possibly see me in Farinon, Skillman, or playing piano in Williams. 哈喽! Hey! My name is Zhe Wang, but please feel free to call me Darren! I’m a student of class 2029 from Tianjin, China. I’m starting with Mathematics but planning to switch to a Math & Economics combined major, and I’m looking at an Engineering minor. When I’m free, you can find me cycling or hiking outdoors. I’m also a massive football (soccer) fan, and my heart belongs to Manchester City. Come talk to me about the latest match or a great trail anytime!

你好!Hi, I am a student of Class 2029, coming from Nanjing, China. My intended major is ECE, Electrical and Computer Engineering. My goal is to build cool robots to serve people, making our daily lives much easier. I love playing badminton, dancing, listening to music, watching films, trying new food, and cooking delicious food. Всем привет! Hi, my name is Gregory, and I’m a first-year student from Moscow, Russia. Here I’m majoring and Economics and Mathematics. An interesting fact about me is that I’ve been a professional freediver for the past 9 years, becoming an absolute National Junior Champion for three consecutive years (2022 – 2024). Joining the Global Expression Podcast, I’m excited to hear everyone’s voices, opinions, and thoughts on different topics, and looking forward to building new, valuable connections!

Dr. Tingting Kang

Dr. Tingting Kang is the Director of the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Center and Facilitator of the International Faculty & Staff Community of Practice at Lafayette College. Originally from China, she came to the United States in 2009 to pursue an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Murray State University. After earning her Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Northern Arizona University, she joined Lafayette College in 2016.



Alicia Liau

你好!My name is Alicia, and I’m from Taiwan — the hometown of boba. I’m currently a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant at Lafayette, and I’m excited to share the beauty of Chinese culture with everyone. I love traveling, writing, and podcasting, and I’m also a big fan of desserts and good food. I believe life should be enjoyed to the fullest.
