Summertime Fine
To many people, being “Summertime Fine” might only mean one thing: a 100% in-shape body, beautiful tan, and gorgeous hair blowing marvelously in the wind. As Summer approaches, some people might not feel as ‘ready’ as others are for the beach scene. I can’t express enough that regardless of where you are on your journey to becoming physically and mentally fit, other people’s perceptions do not define what you are or how good you look. I am still not at what I believe to be my best, but I am very proud of the progress I’ve made over the past few months. The person I interviewed earlier in the semester, Alleyah Miner, is currently sitting next to me as I type, and agrees that she is in the same position. We are not where we want to be, but there is no doubt that we are enough for ourselves, are happy with ourselves, and have faith in how much more we will both grow. Take our advice: think positively about yourself, and you will go further than you think. You’re beautiful!
