  1. 1. She went to Smith College, very cool, I have a friend who goes there. I also did not realize how recent her cookbooks are. I thought they were popular in the 30s for some reason. I never really thought of Julia Child in relation to feminism, but you did a great job relating her to that.
    2. Your French is really beautiful! I also love your additional recordings and perspectives. They break up the podcast and balance it nicely. I also like how you set her in the context of what was happening at the time, in both food and gender politics.
    3. Even though this isn’t part of a legit series, it might be helpful to make up some kind of intro or just set the stage for what you’ll be talking about.

  2. 1. I had no idea that Julia Child was such a big figure in American society as a whole. The fact that she helped transfer work in the kitchen from being very private to a more public activity is amazing. I didn’t know she was a big figure in feminism in addition to her role in food culture.
    2. I think something that worked very well for you was your ability to use multiple recordings from both Julia Child herself and a professor looking at Child’s significance many years later.
    3. Overall, you did a great job explaining Julia Child’s importance and what she did throughout her life, but I think a little longer setup with more early information about her would have been helpful.
