Thanks to this podcast we understand the importance of carbon content for making carbon steel; but i was wondering what the advantages of carbon are compared to other metals. Otherwise the podcast was very informative and had a lot of detail explaining the processes.
How do I get that incredible music ? Great job overall–very specific to creation of carbon steel. The chemistry in this group was well-bonded and was evident through the quick reactionary time between phases within the podcast itself. I am left with some questions though: What is the difference in between carbon reinforced steel and say fluoropolymers? Have the “experts,” after spending much time in their fields, found ways for the improvement of efficiency in the production of the carbon steel? Where is carbon steal most prevalent today and how does it compete with the use of petroleum?
Great job condensing a pretty broad topic into a manageable podcast. The information you gave was concise and easy to understand. I would imagine that a listener without a deep science background would still be able to follow along easily. The only suggestion I would have is to put a little emphasis in your words. Make it sound like you’re having fun, and the listener will have fun too! <-But that's being really nit-picky so there were no major improvements I noticed could be made. Nice job!
I thought the podcast was highly informative and very easy to grapple with. I loved the music at the beginning and end however, perhaps some more fun/catchy transitions could have been harnessed throughout. The only question I have after having listened is why is the carbon steel more brittle if it has a higher carbon content. Other than that you described the process for producing carbon steel, and its uses very efficiently. Great job.
I really like the format of this podcast, and how clear you were. The question and answer format is really nice. I also like the way you guys explained everything in a really easy to understand manner, and I feel really knowledgable about carbon steel. Great job guys!
The music at the beginning really caught my attention! The sound throughout the podcast was very stable and a good volume. All the information in the podcast was very informative, a little hard to follow at times, though. There was a lot of information so it was hard not to talk fast at times, which caused it to be a little difficult to follow. The podcast did a great job covering every detail about carbon steel and how it is developed and used. Good job overall!

If you have a Mac, its in the folder iLife/Jingles (just use spotlight to search for it). Then I did a bit of mixing to get the songs sounding good!
