While natural disasters such as earthquakes and tsunamis were the factors that expedited the destruction in this incident, the “A to Z Podcasts” Team discusses the volatility and effectiveness of nuclear energy despite these deleterious factors, and determines whether or not potential risks are worth the benefits posed by nuclear energy.

Japan is still reeling from the aftermath of the Fukushima Nuclear Disaster in 2011, caused by the historic earthquake. Scientists are trying to learn from the devastating event by trying to further develop technology to improve nuclear energy, but are the risks too deadly to even keep nuclear energy around?
