Proposal for an Inclined Elevator

The Senior Capstone Design Class set out to develop and execute plans that would improve the caliber of Lafayette College’s students, faculty and community. These plans were based on systems of values that include an understanding of social and professional responsibility to the college and its surrounding communities. The team designed a mechanically-driven connection from College Hill to Downtown Easton, Pennsylvania. With this connection, the class facilitated the Master Plan’s goals of providing “an environment that fosters the free exchange of ideas” by designing a means to “integrate intellectual, social and personal growth.” Further information about each specific aspect of this project can be found from each discipline below:
