Timeline
For the Alpha Prototype, our group has created a detailed plan for the steps over the next two weeks this plan is based on an Alpha I Prototype designed to test the identification of objects and contamination and an Alpha II Prototype which we will either integrate scanners or upgrade the UI elements of the Alpha I Prototype based on our analysis of the first test. A gantt chart was developed to block out major activities, and a day by day plan was created to ensure our plan is reasonable on any given day.
Procedure
We invited other senior design students to walk through the prototype made in AdobeXD. The protocol for the testing was to screen record the software in a split screen with one of 3 predetermined object sequences on the other half. We also ensured the recording has some visible time counting each second.
After the test was conducted, participants took an exit survey to evaluate their experience. Questions were answered such as how much they felt like they learned or were guided by the prototype and how likely they would be to actually use the prototype. Advice was collected on how to make the system faster and more enjoyable, as well as if an incentive should be offered. This will help our editing process since we want our solution to be helpful and to actually be used by people at Lafayette College as they are going about their everyday life.
