Scrap Steel

Legacy is the third work I have completed exploring the idea of Art as a method of leaving a mark on the world. The sculpture is my right thumbprint, more or less, suspended in an 8x4ft frame. The form of the fingerprint speaks to the literal marks we all leave on everything we do. The scrap steel and monolithic form attest to how any mark I may leave is an amalgamation of work that has come before me and the impact I hope to have on both the Art world and the world at large.
