    Although this picture is meant to be humorous, it is actually extremely sad. This picture is joking about how a pig’s super power is the creation of bacon, but it completely ignores the fact that the pig has to die in order to do so. It is almost like the creator of this image is mocking the pig. As in many of the images on this page, it is easy to see that this pig is being valued for what we can gain from it.

    This image’s first impression is that this image completely ignores the identity of the pig. Some farmers that carry balanced dualist view both respect the animal, but use it for a purpose, food. The image is essentially saying a pigs only purpose in it’s existence is death, a means to an end. The sort of smile the pig has along with the format of a “meme” are playful, but it’s implied message is pretty dark. This image is similar to the image we viewed in class, and both carry the same view, pigs are a resource and nothing more.
