Shreya, love this : ) Your subject spoke very well about her experience. I connected with her especially when she would laugh to cover up emotions that she felt were unpleasant. She has such a great spirit though, and the light-heartedness of her smile and positive outlook on her situation spoke to that, especially when she talked about all she was able to do before she was diagnosed. I wanted to hear more about her future and how much mobility and function she will have when she is healed, as well as how her daily struggles. We see a lot of her actual interview on the couch, but I would like to see that intercut with images of her getting ready, putting socks on, carrying a back pack, etc. The pacing was really nice. Great points for breath and processing. She does ramble in her interview though slightly. Laying b-roll over those cut points will make your cuts unnoticeable. Overall, awesome!
I think the sequence of your interview makes sense as is, as I said in class I would like you to consider moving one of her responses from the end of your video to the beginning for an added hook. Maybe consider introducing that she had cancer earlier in the video could serve as a hook.
The interviewee is an incredibly strong person. Though she is still dealing with this tough reality everyday, I found that she approached her circumstances with hopefulness and even humor at times which I really respect.
