  1. Overall great rough cut! You have a challenging project and we all agreed you have a great baseline. We thought the best part was the shots of the fish in the water, it really adds to the storyline and who the main character is. I also really like the shot of the sign saying that the restoration of American shad has now become a reality but then is being followed by the statistic that actually only 3% of shad get through passages so we clearly understand that there’s this gap between what we think is happening with what is actually happening. This idea seems like a big part of the storyline, maybe you guys want to introduce this a little bit earlier in the storyline so that the viewer knows what the documentary is really focusing on. It could be a powerful intro. The last shot is very valuable as well: showing the dam and then going to the fish that seem to try to move but are unable which really works well with the text that says “dismantle dams.” Another strong asked of your b-roll are the different angles capturing the water and the landscape shots of the Delaware River. Overall, your b roll is going to be really supportive to your story, but right now it doesn’t really tell me what your story is about, though we do get a glimpse with the dams graffiti, which I think is a pivotal scene to this assignment. We think by introducing the problem earlier the story we be easier to follow great start!
