A Healthy Substitute

My favorite thing to get from McDonald’s is the classic crispy chicken sandwich.  It’s so unhealthy but I would crave it every night before I go to sleep (and it’s available 24/7).  So to make it a healthier snack I decided to make my own.  I used whole wheat hamburger buns, healthy chicken patties (Bell & Evans) from Wegmans, lettuce, a slice of tomato and mayo.  To my surprise it tasted even better than McDonald’s!

What We’re Snacking on Today

I usually snack on terra chips (I’m obsessed!) but I thought I would switch it up a bit and try something new for the new year.  I bought Quaker Popped Sweet Chili since it didn’t seem to be too unhealthy.

I’m not sure what I was expecting but I did not like the texture of the popped rice snacks, as I usually do not, but I did enjoy the taste of the sweet chili flavoring.  Somehow the packaging tricked me into buying it.  I forgot about what kind of snack it was and bought it just based on the flavor.

Doesn’t the packaging look enticing?
