Seedlings and Spring Cleaning

Yesterday, I met with Bridgett Pruett, the executive Director of the Slater Family Network, to discuss possible Bucket Garden giveaways for Families in need. For those who don’t know, Slater Family Network is non-profit family center. I also began a new batch of seedlings (over 17 trays with over 1,000 individual cells) with the help of the Veggie-Van Tech Clinic team.  I’ve started seedlings of tomatoes, watermelon and pumpkins that will require outdoors growing space. I intend to test the soil around the greenhouse and build raised beds. Hopefully this will develop into a 40×40 growing plot that teachers and students can use; however, I’m getting a little ahead of myself. Anyways, here’s a rough video tour of the greenhouse. I intend to start Hydroponics soon along as well add additional soil beds. Keep in mind the second half of the greenhouse is currently under construction.
