Why are you an engineer?
“I am an engineer because I am passionate about creating things and leveraging my interests math, art and design in order to generate creative and effective solutions.”
Why did you want to be on the human-centered design team?
“I love connecting with people, hearing their story and learning from their passions and pursuits. As a general “people-person,” human-centered design seemed like the perfect project team for me to apply this passion in combination with the engineering skills that I have been developing for the past 3 years.”
What excites you most about your team’s project?
“As the child of a public school teacher, I’ve seen the impact this pandemic has had on both my mom and her students. My heart goes out to these kids who have to learn behind a computer screen and to the teachers who have to work so much harder to facilitate education in this way. The inequities that Special Education students are currently facing due to today’s pandemic world are insufferable. These are the people who simply inspire me. I am determined and excited to better their case and raise the spirits of those in the classroom by apply my engineering knowledge!”
