The A & S Club is an academic club at lafayette that is mainly for students who are interested in the field of Anthropology and Sociology and those who just have a general curiosity about the topics in discussion in such fields. Thus, the club offers an additional educational outlet for students who are interested in the Anthropology and Sociology area of study. Through various discussions, lectures, and films, we help to cultivate a better understanding of the material presented in various courses offered in Anthropology and Sociology and to better learn about socities and cultures around the world. This group is always opened to new members and we gladly accept suggestions.

We are a multidisciplinary group of Lafayette students dedicated to meeting the basic health needs of developing communities in the world by applying sustainable and practical engineering solutions. Since the spring of 2003, we have committed ourselves to establishing long-term relationships with communities, associations, and organizations in the Yoro District of Honduras. Our current projects involve collaborating with community partners on the design and implementation of potable water and sanitation systems in the rural communities surrounding the town of La Habana.

The HPC is for students interestd in health-related careers seeking to strengthen their activities/ application through hands-on opportunities. We seek to help others while gaining the experience that will help us excel in the many fields of health careers. The HPC offers new opportunities such as preping for the MCAT, fund-raising for health-related clubs, volunteering at local hospitals, visiting science museums, listening to upperclassmen or professional speakers, and opening opportunities to shadow alumni in health professional careers.
The History Club provides an opportunity for students and professors of the Lafayette Community interested in history an informal setting to discuss historical issues, classes, events happening at Lafayette, events happening with the club and the department, currents events around the world…the list goes on. We have informal bimonthly lunch meetings, and we would love to see you there!

We are a student branch of the professional/technical society for all Electrical Engineers worldwide. Branch activities include: Professional Development, Guest Technical Speakers (both professional and faculty), social activities (intramurals/social events), Regional/National Design Competitions, Regional/National Paper Competitions, Department Website Maintainence etc. Anyone interested in Electrical Engineering are always invited to attend brance sponsored events, though becoming a student member with the IEEE includes perks like monthly magazines, access to the IEEE job vault online, as well as other student specific resources. Student membership also looks great on resumes, as it’s a good way to begin your professional career as an Electrical Engineer.

A reconized chapter of the National Society for Women Engineers, Lafayette’s SWE is open to all members and all majors of the Lafayette Community. Although the club’s roots are based in engineering, it is a great way to get involved if you have any interest in science, engineering, and promoting such topics. Activities include brownbag discussions, monthly meetings, ice cream social, and running science programs at local elementary school, plus much more! Meetings are always open, so please feel to stop in a see what SWE is all about.
Sports Business and Management Club

The Sports Business and Management Club is a new club that brings together people of the Lafayette Community interested about the ins and outs of professional sports. The club will hold discussions and competitions involving pro sports. Competitions will include fantasy sports and other contests. The club is open to anyone who wants to learn more about sports. There is no prior knowledge necessary. The club will follow any sport that gets enough interest from the members.
