  • Teach courses in statics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, turbomachinery, thermal/fluids laboratories, and controls laboratories

Minerals Technologies International, Inc.: Easton, PA (2015-2019)

  • As a technical consultant, provide heat transfer analysis for pyrolytic graphite heat sink applications
  • Created software modeling tools, based on my research, for the preliminary design of pyrolytic graphite heat sinks.


United Technologies Research Center: East Hartford, CT  (2000-2009)

  • Investigated loss generation mechanisms in radial turbomachinery.
  • Examined axial turbine performance characteristics in transonic turbine cascade test facilities.
  • Led Office of Naval Research project to model, build and test advanced high-temperature heat exchangers that employ high-strength cellular materials such as metal foams.
  • Principal member of a multidisciplinary conceptual design team that employed system engineering methods including Integrated Concurrent Engineering (ICE) and Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) to rapidly evaluate the performance of aircraft propulsion and power systems.
  • Led development of modeling software, effective for conceptual through detailed design, which can be applied to aircraft and engine thermal management systems including fuel delivery, air cycle and vapor cycle refrigeration systems.

Lehigh University: Bethlehem, PA  (1995-2000)

  • Investigated fluid mechanics and heat transfer of turbulent spots and endwall juncture flows in a water channel with applications in turbomachinery
  • Developed and implemented a thermochromic liquid crystal temperature measurement sensor and calibration technique which was successfully combined with existing PIV method
  • Designed, organized, and oversaw a capstone manufacturing design project involving CAD design, CAM mold making, and product thermoforming
  • Instructed a senior fluid dynamics laboratory and implemented digital data acquisition hardware/software as well as introduced focused schlieren visualization to the curriculum


General Dynamics Electric Boat Division: Groton, CT (1994-1995)

  • Analyzed the stress from shock and vibration on non-nuclear structures in support of submarine design, construction, shipyard launch and overhaul
