The Lafayette Club Quidditch team is dedicated to the goal of getting students to engage in physical activity with their peers through the means of a formerly fictional sport. The game of Quidditch was invented by the author J.K Rowling for her series of books titled “Harry Potter”. The sport has come a long way since then and is now played at universities around the world. The Intercollegiate Quidditch league was founded at Middlebury College and now has around 200 member teams. The league has coordinated the official rule book, and is in charge of hosting the annual Quidditch World Cup which takes place every October. The rules of the sport are not extremely complicated. To learn said rules go to the home page of this website and look at the link section. There is a link titled the “Introduction to Quidditch”. When you click on this link it will bring you to a video that will give you a general introduction to the rules. The sport itself is a cross between Rugby, Lacrosse, and Soccer. Please continue to visit our site for updates of what the Lafayette team is up to. Your support is greatly appreciated.
