About the Gardeners
Meet the Students Gardeners:

Jenn Bell Class of 2011, Geology and Environmental Geosciences
Jenn worked with faculty and staff to start the garden in Summer and Fall 2008. She then worked in the garden Spring and Summer 2009. She hopes to continue to make the project successful long after she’s graduated.
Bryan McAtee Class of 2011, Geology and Environmental Geosciences
Bryan is a junior and spent his summer (2009) doing excel research with Professor Kney and Mickey Adelman. Luckily, they let Bryan spend a lot of time helping out at the garden!

Scott Stinner Class of 2011, Electrical and Computer Engineering
Scott was also doing excel research in summer 2009 with the physics department. Not only did he do excel, but he also designed and built the shed now at the garden! Scott also helped plant in the spring and take care of the garden during the summer.
Mickey Adelman Class of 2010, Civil and Environmental Engineering
Mickey is the president of SEES, a student club involved in the garden project. He was doing excel research this summer with Prof. Kney and often helped out at the garden in his free time!
Meet the Faculty Gardeners:
Professor David Brandes Civil and Environmental Engineering
Dave worked with Jenn on the Clinton Grant in summer 2008, and has since been an adviser of the project, as well as a community plot owner.
Professor Andrew Smith English and American Studies
Andy headed the Corn on the Quad project in Summer 2008. This is where the idea was born for the garden project. Andy has also since been an adviser and community gardener.
John Wilson Geology and Environmental Geosciences
John was the agricultural adviser for the Corn on the Quad Project, and has since been an adviser for the garden project. He’s helped build the fence, design the shed, loaned equipment, built the sign out front, and helped in many other ways!!
