[254/365] Jersey Breakfast

One of my great re-discoveries over the last two years has been the pork roll sandwich. This is a New Jersey tradition (so much so that “Egg”, “Cheese” and “Pork Roll” are mascots at the  Lakewood Blueclaws minor league baseball team).

I’m restarting the Picture-a-Day project, a year-and-a-half after I lost momentum. I’m starting with a series of photos dedicated to the alleys of College HIll.    

After the Blizzard

Here’s a few photos of College Hill after the storm. This is a shot of Porter Street, looking south. Our backyard transformed into a sort of winter candyland. The icicles of doom hanging over the alley between our house and that of our neighbor’s.

NextGen Gallery 1.2.0 released

NextGEN Gallery, the popular image gallery plugin for WordPress, has a new version out. v1.2.0 includes a couple of tweaks and bug fixes, but the big thing to note is that it no longer includes the JW Image Rotator, which is the Flash image manipulation tool that allows NextGEN to generate slide shows. Slushy the Snow Man

  My daughter and I built a snow man after last week’s snow storm, just as the snow was turning over to rain. We named him “Slushy”; the rain caused him to fall over later that day.
