EARTH WEEK // VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
April 15th (WED): Volunteer at the Easton Farmer’s market Spring cleaning at 325 Northampton Street! Sign up for a shift between 2:00 – 5:30 PM

April 15th (WED): Come to the Limburg Theater in Farinon at 7:00 PM for an Earth Week Kick-off film: YERT – Your Environmental Road Trip
April 16th (THURS): Keynote Speaker Dr. Shana Weber from the Office of Sustainability at Princeton will be presented a talk titled “Sustainability Uncovered” in Oechsle 224 at 7:00 PM
April 17th (FRI): There will be a movie night screening of Avatar in Limburg Theater in Farinon at 8:00 PM. Popcorn provided!
April 18th (SAT): LAFAPALOOZA – LEAP, ECO-REPS, & ASB TEAM SHELLSHOCK will be leading a group clean-up of Bushkill Creek, behind the Spot. This will be about a 2 hour project. This volunteer team will meet at 5:00 PM for food, provided by the Environmental Department.

LaFarm will also be hosting a clean-up project from 2:00 – 4:30 PM. Meet at March Field at 1:45 for a bus to LaFarm, which will also take everyone to a Free Catered Dinner afterwards.

April 20th (MON): “Individual Sustainability Challeneges:”
- Meatless Monday: Be vegetarian for the day
- Take Back the Tap: Use a reusable water bottle or coffee cup
- Take the Shuttle, walk, ride a bike!
April 21st (TUES): The Green Arts Showcase: In the Farinon atrium from 7:30 – 9:30 PM, there will be environmentally themed Art, Poetry, Music, [and FOOD]
April 22nd (WED): EARTH DAY! There will be eWaste recycling from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Farinon/Pardee turnaround loop.
PICNIC: Come to the Quad from 4:00 – 7:00 PM for sustainability booths, demos, activities, giveaways, yoga, old sneak & t-shirt recycling, food, and Laf’s own, The Hoochie Coochie Men

April 25th (SAT): We’re going to the Lehigh Valley Zoo: Spend the day with kids doing a fun environmental activity! LEAP will have a table at the Zoo (FROM 10 AM TO 4 PM) as part of their big Earth Week celebration.

We also work with Residence Life to promote Green Move Out, a program that helps unwanted furniture, appliances, and other items find new homes.
