This is the site of Tim Laquintano. I am an Assistant Professor of English at Lafayette College, and I am the Assistant Director of the College Writing Program. I teach classes on writing, rhetoric, writing technologies, and writing in digital environments. I research issues of digital writing, mass authorship and ebooks. I am primarily interested in how changes to publishing technologies affect the literate activity of authors. My current research project is a qualitative interview project that examines how writers experience the process of independent authorship and self-publishing.
I keep a blog about the ongoing research project, although I am not a particularly good blogger because I dump so much of my time into the project. You can learn more about my teaching on this site too. A brief version of my CV is here in html and you can see it in PDF. I occasionally tweet about contemporary authorship and the conferences I attend on Twitter.
