CITISCAPES: BERLIN AND VIENNA IN THE 20TH AND 21ST CENTURY combines the study of the cultural and intellectual history of the two capital cities through literature and film with the study of the German language. The final projects are lecture-style presentations prepared through process writing and performed reading.

Bulgarian-Austrian author Dimitre Dinev (2016 Max Kade writer-in-residence) taught creative writing to my students who learned to explore their own literary creativity and, in the end, produced remarkable pieces of literature.
