January 9, 2015: Cotopaxi to Salcedo

This morning we began with an exercise examining an outcrop near the Lodge at Tambopaxi. In teams the students were challenged to unravel the geological history from their observations at the outcrop. We then loaded up and moved on the the town of Salcedo, our home for the night. But of course we had to sample the ice cream for which the town is known throughout Ecuador.
