About

The ITS Coffee Break is an occasional podcast about information technology, both at Lafayette College and in the larger world. It’s hosted by Courtney Bentley, instructional technologist, and Ken Newquist, web applications specialist.

They discuss current technological happenings on campus, from Lafayette’s open source courseware tool Moodle to its iTunes U project to GIS to Second Life as well as the latest news about workshops, help documentation, and ITS events.

They also talk about technology trends happening in higher education, across the nation, and around the world, including topics such as blogging, Twitter, podcasting, open source, new web applications and much more.

The podcast has been produced since 2005. It’s available via RSS and iTunes U as well as direct download from the podcast’s home page.

Our header photos were taken at the Cosmic Cup, a College Hill coffee shop near Lafayette College and a favorite haunt of the hosts.
